Dear Divers!

We are organising a Special General Meeting two recruit two new members.

We have been having a great year and we have been quite active with diving, BBQs, and refresher courses. Unfortunately, our dear Babak and Kitty are leaving Melbourne. We value everyone’s participation, but if you would like to dedicate more time and help us, please raise your hands.

Nominations
Nominations will be held similar to annual meeting, so all nominations must be delivered to the Secretary (Burak) no less than 7 days before the date fixed for the holding of the special general meeting. Cut off is 18:00 AEST 25 August 2022.
Made in writing (email, whatsaspp, or paper), signed by two members of the Club and accompanied by the written consent of the candidate (which may be endorsed on the form of nomination).
A candidate may only be nominated for one of the two available positions, or as an ordinary member of the committee, prior to the special general meeting.
If insufficient nominations are received to fill all vacancies on the committee, the candidates nominated shall be deemed to be elected and further nominations may be received at the annual general meeting.
If the number of nominations received is equal to the number of vacancies to be filled, the persons nominated shall be deemed to be elected.
If the number of nominations exceeds the number of vacancies to be filled, a ballot must be held.

( b) an Social Committee Officer,

SGM Agenda
( a) Nominating a new gear officer; and
( b) nominating a new social committee officer;

Once the agenda is completed the regular committee meeting may proceed.
