AGM Next Week 21st May – Get Involved and Have Your Say
12 May by Xiang Huang
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is fast approaching and will be held next week on Thursday, 21 May at 7:00 PM at the Melbourne University Dive Shed.
This is an important milestone for the club each year, where members come together to reflect on what we’ve achieved so far in 2026 and help shape what comes next. With it already being such an active and successful year, the AGM is a great opportunity to build on that momentum and set the direction for the months ahead.
What to Expect
At the AGM, the current committee will present a summary of the club’s activities and progress so far, followed by the election of the new committee. Members will also have the chance to raise ideas, propose changes to club rules and contribute to discussions about future trips and initiatives.
How to Attend
All members are welcome—simply come along on the night:
📍 Location: Melbourne University Dive Shed
🗓 Date: Thursday, 21 May 2026
⏰ Time: 7:00 PM
No RSVP is required—just show up and be part of the conversation.
Nominating for the Committee
Nominations are currently open for all committee roles. If you’re interested in getting more involved in the club, this is a great opportunity to contribute and help lead future activities.
To nominate:
Submit your nomination to the Secretary (Burak) no later than 7 days before the AGM, this means this Thursday the 14th of May. More details on the event page.
Why It Matters
The AGM is your chance to have a real say in how the club runs—from leadership and safety to trips, gear and social events. Whether you want to step into a committee role or simply stay informed and involved, your participation helps keep the club strong and active.
We encourage everyone to attend and be part of shaping another great year of diving.
🌊 See you there!
